Festive Graduation Day 2016 at Makumira

22/10/2016

True to tradition, also this year the "Graduation and Founders Day Celebration" took place on 20th October.

Over 300 people attended this important milestone, including all students of the Child in the Stars and Child in the Sky centers, secretary and treasurer of the Watoto Foundation Peter van Zon, the staff of Kiboko Lodge and a number of guests of honour like regional social welfare officer Mama Matika.

Once again it was a memorable day with thankful speeches, a lot of entertainment, delicious food and a festive graduation of twelve students. Moreover, two successful former students, Japhet and Andrea Modest, were proudly appointed as the Ambassadors of the Watoto Foundation.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our donors for their support, dedication and financial help. Without you we would not have been able to do this and the boys would not have been where they are today!
